softDev23 Privacy Commitment

Hi, I’m SoftDeveloper23. As a solo independent developer building apps under the softDev23 brand, I believe you have an absolute right to privacy. I don’t build apps to collect or sell your data. I build products that solve real problems, which is why my products are designed with privacy at their core.

This privacy policy outlines how our applications and website handle information. Because we build **privacy-first, offline-first software**, we process the bare minimum data required to run our applications.

1. No Accounts or Email Requirements

None of our apps (including Habitual, Think Drink, or Mana) require you to register an account, set up a password, or input your email address. You simply download the app and begin using it immediately. Your progress, metrics, and profiles are entirely yours.

2. On-Device Storage & Secure iCloud Sync

Your database stays in your hands:

Offline-First Storage: All habits, logs, focus sessions, and items are stored locally on your device using Apple’s modern SwiftData persistence.
End-to-End Encrypted Backups: If you choose to enable iCloud syncing (via CloudKit), your database is backed up securely to your private personal iCloud container. It is stored in Apple’s end-to-end encrypted Private Database container. We (softDev23) have absolutely zero access to this data.

3. Application-Specific Data Policies

🧭 Habitual: The Grand Journey

Habitual is a productivity habit RPG. To support subscription checks, we use RevenueCat to securely validate Apple App Store receipts using a non-identifying, system-generated anonymous user ID. To optimize game balance and encounters, we collect anonymized, hashed usage markers via TelemetryDeck. TelemetryDeck does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) or IP addresses.

💧 Think Drink

Think Drink is a visual hydration companion. To respect your privacy, it stores all water logging events exclusively on your local device. It collects no analytics, contains no third-party tracking libraries, and performs zero data collection.

⚡ Mana

Mana is a sci-fi focus timer. All focus logs, statistics, and customization configurations are stored locally on your device. There is no tracking code, no third-party analytics, and no remote server communication.

Diffective (browser game)

Diffective stores game progress in your browser's local storage. It stores the cases you opened, your picks and results, hint usage, start and completion times, elapsed time and points. It also stores badges, training progress, sound and display preferences, whether the welcome screen has been dismissed, and local values used to keep open tabs in sync. The live game uses dfx:v1; the private preview uses a separate dfx:preview:v1 key.

The game code does not automatically send your picks or saved progress to us. Storage may be blocked, full or cleared by your browser. If saving fails, the game warns you that changes are only kept for the current visit.

Delete game progress, under How to play, clears cases, points, badges and training progress. Sound and display preferences remain, and the welcome screen stays dismissed. The game reports when it cannot save a deletion. Clearing this site's storage in your browser also removes those retained settings, but may affect other softDev23 tools and your cookie preferences.

A backup code you choose to copy contains case IDs, correctness results, hint marks, points, badges and whether training was completed. It does not include your individual picks or timings. Anyone you give the code to can read and restore its contents, so keep it to yourself if you do not want to share your results.

If you copy or share a result, the text includes the game and case number, correctness score, right/wrong indicators for Claim, Proof and Trick, an optional hint or streak mark, and the game-page address. It does not contain the answers, your time or your name. Choosing Share sends this text to the app or service you select; copying puts it on your device's clipboard.

The surrounding softDev23 website has its own cookie controls and website services. These are separate from Diffective's game storage and the results you choose to copy or share.

4. Our Website (softdev23.com)

This section covers what happens when you visit softdev23.com. Sections 1 to 3 cover our apps and games.

Hosting and server logs

Our website is hosted by Hostinger. Like any web host, it keeps standard server logs when you visit, such as your IP address, the page you asked for, the time and your browser type. These logs keep the site running and secure and are kept for a limited time.

Cookie choices

We use CookieYes to ask which cookies you allow. Your choice is saved in a small cookie on your device so we don’t ask again. You can change it at any time in the cookie settings.

Google Analytics (only if you allow it)

If you allow statistics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 through the Google Site Kit plugin to see how the site is used: pages viewed, how you arrived, device type, approximate location, and actions such as which free AI prompt you opened or copied. We never send the text you type into a prompt or the search box. In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, statistics are off until you say yes. While they are off, Google’s Consent Mode may still send a basic signal without cookies or identifiers. Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited; data may be processed in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Analytics data is kept for at most 14 months.

Free AI Prompts: our own prompt counter

If you allow statistics, the Free AI Prompts page also tells our own website which prompts were opened or copied and whether you clicked “Open ChatGPT” or “Open Claude”. This helps us see which prompts are useful. The counter uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Our server uses your IP address to generate a coded key that changes every day; the counter does not store your raw IP address. This key helps limit repeat counts and is set to expire at the end of the current day in the website’s timezone. Counts are estimates: people on a shared network may count together, and the same person may count again on another day. We retain daily totals for the current day and the preceding 89 days. Expired counter records are removed by scheduled WordPress maintenance, which can be delayed when the site is inactive; backups follow their normal retention period. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

What stays in your browser

Details you type into a prompt and your search words stay in your browser. We don’t send them to Google Analytics, to our counter or anywhere else.

Fonts

Some pages load the Manrope font from Google Fonts. To deliver it, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address.

Email signup

If you sign up for updates, your email address is stored with our email service, MailerLite. You first get an email to confirm. We use your address only to send what you signed up for, and you can unsubscribe with the link in every email. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Links to other services

Buttons such as “Open ChatGPT” and “Open Claude”, and links to other sites, take you to services we don’t run. We don’t send them your prompt. Their own privacy policies apply once you are there.

5. GDPR & CCPA Compliance

Our apps do not collect your name, email, physical location, or IP addresses, so we have no identifiable app records to delete, edit, or share. For the website services in section 4, you can ask us for access, correction or deletion, object to processing based on legitimate interest, withdraw consent at any time, and complain to a data protection authority. You have complete control of your data. If you wish to delete all records from any of our apps, simply delete the app from your device, which wipes the local container entirely.
