Habitual: Habit Tracker RPG
Last Updated: September 2026
Habitual is a gamified habit tracker. This policy explains what the app stores on your device and what data is processed by the services used for analytics and subscriptions.
No account required
Habitual does not require you to create a softDev23 account or provide a name, password, or email address. Your habits, check-ins, streaks, inventory, relics, maps, and game progress are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
App analytics
Habitual uses TelemetryDeck to understand app usage and improve features and reliability. Habitual sends custom events for actions such as creating and completing habits, finishing onboarding, using game features, viewing the paywall, and completing subscription-flow steps. These custom events can include fixed details such as habit type, goal type, distance, energy, streak state, subscription plan, and entitlement state. Habitual's custom analytics events do not include the habit names you enter.
TelemetryDeck also processes an analytics identifier and standard context such as event time, app version and build, device model, operating system, app environment, language, locale, region, and time zone. TelemetryDeck documents that its SDK salts and hashes the analytics identifier on the device before sending it to TelemetryDeck. Event and context data is transmitted to TelemetryDeck for analytics.
Subscriptions
Habitual uses RevenueCat to display subscription offerings, validate purchases, restore purchases, and determine whether Habitual Pro access is active. Because Habitual does not supply a custom account identifier, RevenueCat generates and stores a random anonymous App User ID for the installation. RevenueCat processes that identifier, purchase history, subscription status, and entitlement status for app functionality and service analytics.
Apple processes checkout and payment-card information through the App Store. Habitual does not directly process your payment-card details.
Deleting Habitual
Deleting Habitual removes the app and its locally stored Habitual data from that device. It does not delete Apple's purchase history or automatically erase analytics, subscription, or entitlement records already processed by TelemetryDeck or RevenueCat. RevenueCat documents that reinstalling after deletion creates a new anonymous App User ID on the device.
