Mana: Focus Evolved Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 5, 2026
Mana is a focus and productivity app from softDev23. This policy explains what stays on your device, what the app sends for analytics, and what is shared only when you choose to contact support.
No account required
Mana does not require an account, registration, name, or email address to use the app.
Data stored on your device
Mana stores your focus history, tasks, scenarios, progression, rewards, settings, tutorial progress, access windows, and subscription-entitlement status in the app’s local storage. Your Screen Time selections are stored as opaque tokens supplied by Apple. Those tokens are used on your device to apply shields to your selection.
Mana does not operate an account database or its own cloud-sync service, and softDev23 does not receive your raw task titles, scenario names, selected-app tokens, or focus-history records. Apple may include app data in a device backup according to your Apple backup settings. softDev23 cannot access or control those backups.
Analytics
Mana uses TelemetryDeck to understand whether key features work and where people have difficulty. Production builds, including TestFlight and App Store builds, send analytics events about app interactions, including onboarding and permission outcomes, tutorial steps, Gate outcomes, task and focus-mode events, progression events, paywall views, and successful Pro upgrades. Some events include broad values such as a time bucket, selected mode duration, level, reward, penalty, or bounty type. Mana does not send the text of your tasks or scenarios, your exact focus logs, or your selected Screen Time tokens.
TelemetryDeck automatically adds a random session ID, a pseudonymous identifier derived from Apple’s Identifier for Vendor, app version and build, device and operating-system details, screen characteristics, time zone, locale, language, appearance and accessibility preferences, distribution context, and basic session statistics. The identifier allows repeated activity from the same app/device context to be grouped. TelemetryDeck says it hashes the value again on its server and does not use it to identify you. Mana does not attach an account, name, email address, task text, or scenario text to analytics events.
TelemetryDeck states that it does not store IP addresses and does not combine Mana analytics with third-party data for advertising or tracking. Its service may retain pseudonymous cold-storage analytics events for approximately seven to ten years and does not currently guarantee a fixed deletion schedule. Mana currently does not provide an in-app analytics opt-out.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. softDev23 does not receive your payment-card details through Mana. The app checks your Apple entitlement to unlock Pro features and stores the resulting Pro status locally. Mana sends TelemetryDeck an analytics event when a Pro upgrade succeeds, without sending the StoreKit transaction ID, payment details, price, or product identifier.
Support email
If you choose Email Support & Feedback in Settings, Mana opens Apple’s mail composer and pre-fills the app version, iOS version, and a generic device name such as “iPhone.” You can review and edit the message before sending it. If you press Send, your email address, message, and the visible device details are transmitted through your email provider to softDev23 and used to respond to your request. Cancelling the composer sends nothing to softDev23.
You can ask softDev23 to delete a support message by emailing support@softdev23.com.
No advertising or cross-app tracking
Mana contains no advertising SDK and does not sell personal information. Mana does not use analytics data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies and does not share it with data brokers.
Deleting data
Deleting Mana removes its active local app container from that device. Separate Apple device backups may remain under your Apple backup settings. TelemetryDeck analytics are grouped under a pseudonymous app/device identifier and are not attached to a Mana account. Because Mana provides no way to look up that identifier, softDev23 may be unable to locate a particular person’s analytics records for deletion.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated when Mana’s data practices change. The date at the top will show the latest revision. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@softdev23.com.
